What was the highlight of Novotel RJ Praia de Botafogo
Good stay overall, not the best hotel I have stayed at but definitely not the worst. i think it still has good value for
had an amazing view from my room of sugar loaf, the area was fairly centric, Uber was around $6.50 -$8.00 to Copacabana beach and most other areas. breakfast was pretty good, and the front desk team was friendly and helpful, and they spoke English quite well. the facilities have a Spa and a Gym. I didn’t get around to use them but they did look very clean.
I thought it had a pool but it didn’t (though not their fault I realize ) . the bar staff didn’t know how to make a simple cocktail without calling someone. (didn’t even know how to make a margarita, cuba libre or their menu items like a Moscow mule…) there were little bathroom flys in the shower which was kinda gross to me. but apparently its normal in all of Rio. some of the linens they used for my bed were pretty beat up, they had little holes in them, mind you they did look clean.

Location is fantastic and staff is extremely friendly. The wi-fi was inconsistent and weak. Lastly, the preferred taxi company recommended by the property staff overcharged the ride to the airport. The last coment was not directly related to the property, but relevant, given it was their recommendation. All in all, we were satisfied and would stay again at this property.

What was the highlight of Novotel RJ Praia de Botafogo
It was a good stay- clean and central to where we needed to be for the week.
This as located very close to both airports. The location made it really easy to get around Rio even during a busy time period. Honestly for the cost and location it is a good deal.
Our room when we entered smelled a little like there had been standing water which was not great. Overall the service was great- but at time the front desk wasn't as kind or helpful when asking for recommendations or assistance with things.
